Congratulations! We are proud to announce that you have been selected to perform in the 3rd Annual Burbank Comedy Festival in downtown Burbank Aug 14-20, 2016! We reviewed submissions from hundreds of comedians and the competition was fierce. We are excited to have you be a part of the festival!

In order for us to promote and make this festival a huge success, we need your help. Please read the following letter very carefully. There is a CHECKLIST for you to complete ASAP. Please READ LETTER and CHECK OFF CHECKLIST. The sooner you get us the information, the more promotion we can do for you.
Be sure to check in the week of the festival to receive your Comedian Pass, as well as a special goodie bag!
COMEDIAN PASS: Please wear your Comedian Pass during all festival events. This will help the Flappers Staff identify you as a performing comedian in the Festival. The Comedian Pass will allow you to attend ANY shows, panels, and after parties as long as there are available seats. (Be aware that Special Events marked in RED on the calendar are potential sell outs and there may not be any available seats.) During shows, we do ask you to please respect the servers and the two item minimum.

Please note that all Flappers University workshops are available for purchase and are not included; we recommend upgrading your pass with the Flappers University Class Pass, which includes admission to all workshops throughout the week.
We offer special complimentary General Admission Passes to Casting Directors, Producers, Agents, Managers and Industry Executives. If you know any of those industry types that would like to attend, please Email Jessica Ramsey, our industry Liaison, at BookingsAssistant@Flapperscomedy.com with the Name/ Phone/ Email of your industry guests and we will get a pass in their hands.
There are events and shows happening ALL DAY EVERY DAY OF THE FESTIVAL and we are sure you will want to take advantage of a lot of them. You are going to be tired! Most of the Events are Held at Flappers in Downtown Burbank and or within walking distance of Flappers. The hotels we have suggested are also within walking distance. If you are flying into town, we strongly recommend that you fly in through Burbank Bob Hope Airport, which is just ten minutes from the festival venues. THERE ARE FREE SHUTTLES FROM BURBANK AIRPORT to the HOLIDAY INN and SPRINGHILL hotel locations. LAX is about 45 minutes from Burbank (with no traffic).

TRANSPORTATION There is free parking in Downtown Burbank. We ALWAYS recommend parking at the Ashley Furniture Parking Lot or the 5-story Sears Mall Lot, which are located directly across the street from Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant. AMTRAK trains go right to the Burbank Airport and then you can take a free shuttle from there. UBER & LYFT are available via your cell phone.
CHECK-IN- AT THE COMEDY SHOP HEADQUARTERS
Flappers is located at 102 East Magnolia Blvd on the corner of 1st and Magnolia. When you first arrive, please check in at Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant at the COMEDY SHOP OFFICE (located at 118 Magnolia Blvd , just up the sidewalk past the entrance to the Ross Parking Lot). Please check in with us as early in the week as possible – preferably between the hours of 9 and 5pm on Sunday, Aug 14 (Check in is 9am-10pm at the Comedy Shop on all other days of the festival). When you check in, you will receive an official festival gift bag with goodies.
PERFORMANCES: You will receive three (3) 5-minute spots during the festival week. Show times and rooms to be determined by producers & subject to change. House MC’s , Celebrity Guests & industry will judge and pick selected comedians to perform in our Best of the Fest shows on Saturday, Aug 20. YOU WILL RECEIVE A BOOKING AGREEMENT FORM from Bookings@FlappersComedy.com with your dates and times for each of your shows. PLEASE CONFIRM THIS BOOKING AGGREEMENT ONLINE TO SECURE YOUR DATES.
AFTER PARTIES & UNDERGROUND SHOWCASES: Will be held at Flappers, and at other locations in Burbank – check the website for addresses, phone #, and times. MASTER SCHEDULE INCLUDED and or View HERE. BE SURE AND BLOCK OUT YOUR CALENDAR FOR THE “FUNNY BUSINESS FINALE PARTY” ON Sat August 20th, 10:30pm-2am. This Wrap Party will include a DJ, Dancing, Appetizers, FULL MENU & CASH BAR AVAILABLE.
We record all sets, and they are available for purchase. To order your footage you must fill out the DVD order form; you may pay in advance online or in person with one of the ticket staff or on our website.

We archive all footage, so you may purchase ANY TIME after you perform at Flappers.
This year, we are attempting to live-stream selected Festival Shows. The Live Stream technology is new and experimental. We request/require that you sign the Grant and Release Form in order to participate in those shows. PLEASE PRINT OUT AND SCAN OR RETURN THIS RELEASE and return via email to ADMIN@FlappersComedy.com. By Clicking Confirm on your festival date you are confirming that you are allowing us to stream your performance during the festival. We do not allow any outside video recording, which includes Periscope and other live-streaming phone apps.
SHOWS | MASTER SCHEDULE
As a comedian, you are welcome to watch any and all festival shows, provided there are seats available. Special event shows (including live tapings of podcasts from Tom Segura, Christopher Titus, Jimmy Dore and Jimmy Pardo, as well as showcases with Jeff Garlin, Drew Lynch, Tom Green and The Lampshades) will more than likely sell out. If you want to guarantee a seat in all shows, it is recommended that you either purchase a ticket for those shows or upgrade to a VIP pass, which includes a guaranteed seat in all festival shows as well as a $150 Flappers gift card (good for food, beverage, videos, Flappers University Class Pass, tickets). While watching shows, if you are sitting in a seat, we do ask that you observe our 2 item minimum and treat the wait staff with courtesy and respect (thank you!); otherwise you are welcome to hang out outside the showrooms in our YooHoo lobby or patio.
Ticket prices range from $10 to $30. We will be sending online ticket links good for up to 4 complimentary tickets per show. PLEASE RESPECT THE LINK & ONLY CLAIM 4 COMPS PER SHOW.
We will be sending online discounted ticket links for you to distribute to fans/friends/family – these offers are limited and will NOT be available at the door. Please remind your guests that there is a 2 item min per person, and that they should park at Ashley Furniture or Sears Lots. Pre-purchased seats are guaranteed, however, we have an open seating policy, so we recommend that all guests arrive 1 hour early to get the best possible seats.

We will be offering lunch available each day starting at 12pm and going till 4pm; ONLY $10.00 for Comedians (MUST SHOW PASS) – so come early for the panels and grab a bite to eat while you are watching the panels! FUN STUFF FOR YOU TO DO ON US!
Here’s a chance to enjoy a NEW entertainment experience. We are offering a FREE ½ hour escape room experience to all comedians and industry. A real-life Game Of Thrones! Campus Escapes brings the worldwide craze of live escapes to you. Room escapes began with the 90’s point-and-click adventure PC games that focused on searching and puzzle solving. A live escape puts you inside the game with a team to physically participate in the story. This activity, besides being great entertainment, is designed to get a group focused on leadership and team building as they work together using the available tools combined with logic to escape the room in a set period of time. For those groups that don’t solve the puzzle in time, they still get out of the room to take a group pic and the post-game talk begins on where they could have worked together better to accomplish the mission. The groups that do get out in time get bragging rights and a picture. You can only do the room once. This is a timed event.
