When did you decide to pursue standup comedy and why? I’ve always loved to make people laugh. I knew since I was a little girl that I wanted to be an actress but it wasn’t until I moved to Los Angeles a year and a half ago that I wanted to pursue stand up and I’m so glad I did. I love the stand-up community in LA. I’ve had a blast doing shows and I can’t wait to keep it going.
What was your first joke? Where did you tell it? How did it go? Not sure I remember my first joke….I do however, know that I wrote short, funny “skits” and made all 4 of my brothers perform them for the entire neighborhood. My parents were horrified.
Why do you perform? I perform because I think my purpose in life is to entertain and make people laugh. Nothing in this world makes me happier than when I can make someone laugh and forget about life’s bullshit and remember to laugh at the hard stuff. That’s what makes life bearable, I think.
What are you looking forward to most about the Burbank Comedy Festival? I am beyond excited to meet other comedians and see them perform and do what they love at this Festival. A weeks worth of drinks, food, laughter, and new people? Yes please! I am so honored and grateful to be selected for this experience. I can’t wait!

When did you decide to pursue standup comedy and why?4 yrs ago when I came back to the US. The economy was bad & life is 2 tough so we gotta learn how to take it easy & LOL. Btw I’m disabled & Asian! I should qualify to make black ppls jokes (& others).
What was your first joke? Where did you tell it? How did it go? I worked for Hong Kong Disneyland & saw Mickey & Donald Duck smoking weeds in the back. Did it in a comedy writing class & it went well.
Why do you perform?
A way for me to connect with ppls as a geek. As a disabled & Asian man I got 2 superpower come into one in Stand-up comedy.

Where do you live now? West LA
Who are you comedic influences? Rodney Dangerfield, Andy Kaufman, Steve Martin
When did you decide to pursue comedy? Why? I enlisted in Marine Corp boot camp during my summer break of attending Brooklyn Law School. It was one of the best summers of my life. Not only did I get into great shape, I discovered I could make my fellow recruits and drill instructors laugh. And if you can make your Drill Instructors laugh, you can make anyone laugh. It was that experience that gave me the impetus to pursue stand up comedy instead of opening my case books at night.
What was your first joke? Where did you tell it? How did it go? I went to this swinging sex resort in Jamaica, not the one in Queens. All the while there were nude, nubile bodices strewn about, as I remain aloof and disconcerted to my “circumcisional” surroundings. It crushed at Carolines on Broadway and it certainly helped that I had about 74 of my Brooklyn Law School classmates in attendance.
What are you looking forward to most about the Burbank Comedy Festival? Schmoozing.
