Here are three of the awesome comics we have performing in the Burbank Comedy Festival!
When did you decide to pursue comedy? Why? During my second tour in Iraq with the United States Army. Some soldiers in my unit had come into the office I worked, visibly shaken, because they had just been attacked by insurgents. Luckily no one was harmed, but obviously they were in a bit of a shock. I wanted to help so I started cracking jokes about being in Iraq, and after about 5 minutes of rambling they were all smiling and laughing along with me. I was amazed at how powerful comedy can be.
What is your proudest comedic accomplishment? I wrote a prank idea down in my phone while riding the bus to community college. The idea sat in my phone for 6 months because I wasn’t sure if any would think it was funny. When I did finally film the prank, It went viral, gaining 2.6 million views, and landing me a few TV gigs.
Why do you perform? For the ladies. And by “the ladies”, I mean my mom and my sister.

When did you decide to pursue comedy? Why? I was in musical theater and I was asked to leave.
What was your first joke? Oh jesus. Filene’s Basement. The bags said “I just got a bargain at Filene’s” and I think I said something like I wish all of the bags spoke about the purchase: “I just got totally ripped of at_____! I just got a cheap piece of crap at______ ” and I can’t remember the third beat because it probably wasn’t good.
What are you looking forward to most about the Burbank Comedy Festival? Flappers just feels like home. Well, even better than cause I don’t have to do the dishes there. I can just eat and leave the dishes.

What was your first joke? I was 12 at the Laugh Factory’s Comedy Camp for Kids. I told a joke about how big I was as a baby. I think I made everyone cry.
Why do you perform? As an actor, I’m usually performing someone else’s lines, telling someone else’s story. When I perform, I get to make people laugh by telling MY story.
