When did you decide to pursue comedy? After college, I decided to pursue comedy in lieu of paying back my school loans. I never really asked why, I just knew I would.
What was your first joke? Where did you tell it? How did it go? As a teenager, I did some unwelcomed character work at a talent show at basketball camp where I mimicked the coaches and their use of the term “finger roll.” I would say that was my first time on “stage.” I was a hit with my peers and universally panned by the coaching staff.
What is your proudest comedic accomplishment? I won a Telly Award this year for jokes I wrote for Kevin Hart. These were dick jokes and I am a gay lady so that part alone was a real accomplishment.

When did you decide to pursue comedy? At the age of 6, because I thought being a doctor was gross and lawyers were eaten by dinosaurs.
What was your first joke? Where did you tell it? How did it go? Roses are red, violets are blue, I like spaghetti, lets make out. I told this joke at church. It got the silence it deserved.
What is your proudest comedic accomplishment? Making my grandmother laugh. She’s quite the stickler.

When did you decide to pursue comedy? When I saw that Cristela Alonso got her own TV Show.
What was your first joke? Where did you tell it? How did it go? Idon’t remember… When you grow up Mexican-American, chunky, funky, with ADD, a sixth sense, and undocumented you have to have a sense of humor and be funny to survive.
What is your proudest comedic accomplishment? My first time doing stand up I nailed my presentation and my husband was there to witness it and I knew I had to pursue this.
