“Your staff; managers, hosts, servers, bartenders, bookers, liaisons, door people, cooks, dishwashers, cleanup crew, VOLUNTEERS were pleasant, thorough, kind, HELPFUL, courteous to performers and guests alike, polite, and for me the biggest thing, CONSISTENT in all of the previously mentioned adjectives. THAT’S HUGE.” – Lou Santini

“The Burbank Comedy Festival 2015 was the first time I had been to Flappers. I had only been to Burbank to go to Universal Studios and once to the Jay Leno show. (I hate to drive on the freeways). (Although, as a positive note, you can’t get killed driving 10 MPR.)
I was very impressed with all the work that went into the week. I bought the VIP pass which gave me entry to all the shows and classes and I hit quite a few before I ran out of energy, almost died laughing, and had to go home. Unfortunately I missed the shows on Saturday. I did enjoy the gift card and ran through that in 3 days.
Everyone including the wait staff were all very friendly and helpful. The club itself is amazing with wonderful seating. You can see the stage from everywhere. And the Yoo Hoo Room was cozy and great for first time comedians as the audience is close and personal.
I even got up the nerve to audition, which I was not going to do, but somehow I felt comfortable in the Flappers friendly environment.
I’ve been doing improv and stand-up but lately mostly improv in Hermosa Beach. We have shows monthly. (JumpStartImprov.com)
I will brace the 110 and the 5 again in the future to see some shows as I enjoyed myself so much. Do you have dates for next year’s festival?
